Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Run Out Right Now And Buy My (Mark Schultz) New Record, Come Alive…July 6, 2009 10:06 pm 25 Comments
10 – You can take the front cover out of the CD, superimpose yourself on it, put it in a picture frame and tell people we are best friends.
9 – You can order the CD in bulk and save mega bucks and give away as Christmas stocking stuffers (it’s never too early).
8 – You can learn all the words to all the songs and sit on the front row of my concerts and prompt me when I forget them.
7 – You can learn the guitar parts of the songs, bring your guitar to the show and tell them you’re with the band and get in for free (learning the guitar part only necessary if security calls your bluff).
6 – You can break into a new Mark Schultz song while visiting with friends. And when they ask you how you know it already, you can say that I called you on your birthday and left it on your voicemail as a surprise (like I do every new record).
5 – You can buy 1,000 new “Come Alive” CD’s and paper your entire bedroom with it and then send me pictures, scaring me like a stalker.
4 – You can shave your head, learn a couple of your favorite songs off the “Come Alive” and jump on stage before one of my concerts, just to see if anyone leaves before I get on stage, thinking the show is over.
3 – You can watch the “stories behind the songs” section of the DVD of “Come Alive”, and when you see me at a concert, you can ask me the story behind one of the new songs…and then answer it all by yourself.
2 – You can try to buy the new “Come Alive” record on August 24, the day before it comes out, take it home and quickly record and copyright the songs yourself, then sue me for all I’m worth the next day when the record officially comes out.
1 – You can be the first person to coll down your car windows, crank up “Come Alive” and circle your neighborhood over and over yelling “Mark Schultz rocks!” until A) Everyone on your street runs out and buys the new record, OR B) You are arrested and humiliated in front of friends and family. In which case, I will come bail you out of jail, and in the end…we make a neat memory together.
