Welcoming home a new member of the familyJuly 28, 2014 12:13 am 3 Comments
The Schultz family is proud to introduce our newest member…baby Gus was born May 19, 2014. He’s a sweet baby and already a good napper (like his Dad). His big brother Ryan couldn’t be more excited about his “baby butter,” but he is a little upset that we didn’t name him Helicopter. It’s a busy season with a newborn, but God is teaching me so much about family and the importance of meaningful relationships with my wife and children. Since it’s summer we’re spending a lot of time outside with Ryan playing in the sprinkler and trying to spray us with the water hose.
But in between those activities, I’m really enjoying writing for a new record and finding inspiration in the beautiful everyday moments of life. I can’t wait to share these songs with you soon. They’re powerful and uplifting and I hope they will encourage you in your journey.
On another note, my very first instrumental album, Renaissance, inspired by travels with my wife, Kate, is now available on iTunes. Proceeds from this album go toward the non-profit that we started in 2011 called Remember Me Mission which raises money to support orphans. Check out our website here for more information or learn more on our Facebook page.
Our second project, a children’s book based on my song Remember Me, also benefits the cause and you can find that on tour with me or on my website in the Store section.
And, make sure to pick up my latest project (and one of my all-time favorites), Hymns. Stay tuned for more behind the scenes looks at making that album.
Thanks for your support and I look forward to seeing you at a concert soon!
