Happy New Year!!

Expecting a wonderful New Year!

Well, this was the last somewhat quiet Christmas season Kate and I will have for awhile. We are excited for another stocking to hang on the fireplace mantle next year.

We are expecting our first child on Valentines Day!!  Kate is doing all the work, but she is loving it, and is as glowing and beautiful as I have ever seen her. I would have never guessed that she would be this happy with just 6 weeks to go but she has done really well. I am so proud of her!

I am pretty sure that I am not ready for this new adventure as it took me 45 minutes to “successfully” put the new baby seat in the car. But I am hopeful that what I don’t have in experience God will give me abundantly in extra grace.

Right now I am busy working on my new studio record, and can’t wait to share this music with you on the next tour.  I am excited to play new songs that will no doubt be inspired by the new little person in our lives!

We are really looking forward to this New Year with all the joy that it brings, and we wish the best for all of you in 2012.

I can’t wait to see you on an upcoming tour!

Happy new year
Mark Schultz

Mark I just want to let you know that I lost my mom this Septemeber. It’s the hardest thing that has ever happened to me in all of my 17 years of life. My dad met you once at an Applebee’s, because the Joy FM had enlisted him to feed you. Since then we have been Mark Schultz fans. The stories you tell in your songs are always powerful, but they never quite hit home like “When You Come Home” now does. I have struggled with my faith now but luckily I have not left it because it is the most important piece of my mom for me to hold onto. Thank you for the power of your lyrics that help to bring me hope and faith.

Congratulations to you and Kate. Oh, the sweet music your baby will sleep to.
Hope you have plans on coming to N. Va. sometime. Would love to see you!!! I introduced your music and your Bio to a co-worker of mine. I am not sure of his affiliation with any church or group. I do know that he had never heard of you. Hard grasping that, but he knows about you now. He does know about my love for Jesus and his Grace. His youngest child, Kyle, was diagnosed with Leukemia, in Oct. of 2010. He and his wife were hit hard with that news. Your testimony and your music has made a difference for his family. He in turn has passed your Bio and music on to others. Kyle is now 7. He started back to school this past September. He was so ready, after a year off. He is still undergoing treatment, but with God…..Miracles happen. I hope to see Kyle well someday. He has good days and bad days. But, he is surrounded by loving people. Thank you for the lives that you touch with your heart felt songs.

Enjoy your new one !!! I had 5 of my own. One has gone home to the Lord. And God has blessed me with 3 grandchildren. What a joy!!!!!

We’re happy to hear that your family will be growing, but were sad this week to receive notice that that means you won’t be on the Sandi Patti and friends cruise. I convinced my husband to go so we could hear you in person. It was a win-win – he loves to cruise and I love listening to contemporary Christian music! And he had started listening to your CD’s in his truck so that he would know some of your songs! I’m sure we’ll still enjoy the cruise, and I know what a wonderful time of life it is to welcome a baby. God bless you all!
