Coming Back From Italy
May 9, 2011 13 Comments

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to be getting back to my home, Nashville , TN in June. It’s been a wonderful few months of travel and God has taught me a lot! Kate and I have been able to spend great time together which has been a blessing for us and our marriage.  We’ve been married five and a half years, and I can’t wait for the next fifty!

If you haven’t already had the chance, please check out my latest two releases. I’m so excited about both of these. My first ever instrumental album, Renaissance, was inspired by my travels with Kate and will be released later this year. And, my “Best Of” Album is all of my favorite songs combined on one CD and is available on my website and various Christian outlets. I hope you’ll enjoy these two albums…It’s certainly been fun for me to make them.

Finally, my book Letters from War will be released during my upcoming fall tour.  This tour is going to be a special tribute to all of the men and women (past, present and future) who have risked or given their lives for our country and our freedom.

This fall marks the 10-year anniversary of September 11th, a day that changed all of our lives, and I am honored to be able to do this tour at such an important time in our country’s history.  I’m looking forward to bringing this very special tour to a city near you. My hope is that it will be a time to come together, honor and give thanks for the things that make our country great.

I hope to see many of you there.

In the meantime I’ll be working on songs for my next record which I’m hoping to release soon.  God has been blessing me with some great melodies and He has been inspiring me with words to encourage people in their walks with Christ. I hope you’ll find these new songs to be a reminder of the lavish love that He has for us.

See you guys soon!

Mark

Mark, Thank you for your music. I gotten away from listening to mostly Christian music and today I have come back home to it. I have taken Broken & Beautiful to work with me today. Everything to Me is so true!!! I have 3 sons in the service all getting ready to deploy to different parts of the world, Kuwait in June, Iraq in Nov. and Afghanistan in March 2012. We along with the wives and children will miss them and pray that God keeps them safe while on this journey. I look forward to your upcoming albums and book. No one fully understands the sacrifices a military family makes until you become a part of one. Have a blessed day.

I just wanted to tell you how much the song letters from war means to me. The memorial day before I left for Basic a dear friend of mine sang that song and made me cry. That song got me through every day of basic when I was ready to just give in and say I am done. I am currently in Kuwait and getting ready to come back home from deployment and that song still gets me through my days here. I plan on being at the Concert on 22 Sept front row. Cant wait to see it!

  12. Mr. Schultz, I apologize for making a comment that isn’t realtive to the blog post, but I couldn’t find an email for you/management and I wanted to tell you that I love your song Everything To Me. My husband and I had a beautiful little girl on July 5th and because the pregnancy wasn’t planned and we do not have the financial stability to provide for her, we placed her with a wonderful couple.

A couple of weeks before she arrived, I was having a really bad day thinking about having to let her go and nothing I did seemed to help at all, so I went to YouTube and searched for songs about adoption and your song was somewhere near the top of the list. I’ve heard some of your songs before so I gave it a listen and it helped so much.

Luckily, we are able to have an open adoption. The couple we chose want us to be a major part of her life as she grows up and begins to understand the concept of adoption and they want her to know us and to be able to ask us questions. When she gets to that point, I plan to play your song for her and I hope it helps her understand that we didn’t just give her away because we didn’t want her, we hand-picked her parents because we wanted to give her a better life.

Hey Mark, I just picked up your new project _Renaissance_, and it’s excellent. I actually did a reader review of it for Jesus Freak Hideout which might interest you. I gave it a nearly perfect score. My dad will be thrilled to get this for Christmas!

I was wondering if there was some way to contact you besides twitter or facebook, which I’m not involved with. I want to send a song to you. Thanks!
